Everyday at Peaceful Pastures Farm is an opportunity to slow down for a peaceful reward.
Our 20 acre farm previously was used for horses and has been customized by us for a Boer Goat hobby gone wild. Our barn has been turned into twelve indoor birthing stalls and an area for doing fecal testing. The tillable acreage of the farm produces organically grown hay and provides rotational grazing pastures. We follow the philosophy that preventative measures allow for optimal growth and health of our herd. By using rotational grazing and individual routine assessments we hope to keep deworming at a minimum to foster parasite resistance. The original foundation herd and any new family member has been veterinarian blood tested negative Brucelosis, Johnies, CAE and CL. We continue to run a closed herd to preserve our bio security. "From our first 2011 dapple kid shown here to present
we are dedicated to improve the colored Boer one goat at a time." Lori Miller |
